Galloping Around In Circles!

After I shared my first entry, my brain kept building and noodling with the story. I wanted to keep imagining that dream moment on the carousel.

This model is the result - a carousel horse ready to run around in circles. I'm really happy with this model - it was particularly tough to get a sense of motion into the model at this scale. The model is 189 pieces.

The story as I shared it in my other entry:

One of my favorite childhood memories was riding the merry-go-round that my grandpa ran. My mom and I would visit him. She'd stand by the operator's box and catch up with her dad. I'd ride around and around as many times as I wanted. Each time around, I'd wave at them and they'd wave back. It was magical.

When you're stuck inside, even a sunny day in the park is a dream holiday. I have a daughter of my own now. My mom and grandpa are both gone. But I can't wait until she can ride a merry-go-round and wave at me each time she goes around.
