That Vacation, That Boat, That Fish

This model is dedicated to the fisherman who spend hours on the water and is passionate about what he does, no matter the circumstances.

The idea for this entry came from my family's yearly fishing trip to Lake Cutfoot, MN. After a relatively slow day in the boat, I caught the fish of my life (so far)! Nibbling at the rig, the fish finally decided to take it. Thanks to my fairly stiff rod, I was able to land the fish after a fight of several minutes. Once my grandpa netted it and hoisted it into the boat, I saw that it was a gorgeous northern pike. Quickly removing the hook, we measured and released it. The pike measured a tape-stretching 36 inches (92 cm)! I hope to soon be back on the water, sitting in the boat, catching more giants of the deep!

The model consists of exactly 250 pieces (including the mini figures).
