The history of navigation
The
history of navigation opens up, revealing in the main scene, an ancient Roman
ship facing the grandfather sailor with his grandson. The grandfather talks
about the evolution of the ship from the beginning up to modern ships, in the company of a ship in a little bottle and in a bigger
one on a display stand representing the expression of faith and love for the
sea.
Behind
the Roman ship we find a lighthouse, with its guardian, and a sailboat in front
of it: the grandfather tells of the importance of light driving in the dark of
night and that once there was the "lighthouse keeper" with the task
of keeping the lighthouse in efficiency, but later on the automation made the
figure of the guardian disappear.
In
the corner there is a small island with a sailing boat; on the other side a
well-colored fishing boat.
Among
the infinite types of ships I chose to insert, from the outside, an Egyptian
ship, a pirate ship and a cruise ship.
