Clumsy Hans
The Fairytale of Clumsy Hans by Hans Christian Andersen (or maybe Brickhead Hans since his Danish name is Klods-Hans and Klods means Brick in English).
It think there should also be a black and a white horse (one for each of the brothers) and of course a goat for Clumsy Hans to ride on.
The heads on the brothers can be turned so each of them has a frightened look (which fits them as they choke up in front of the princess).
