Jason & The Argonauts

One of my favourite stories growing up was Greek myth of Jason & Argonauts, both the original tale & the Columbia Pictures film made in 1963. This pop-up book features several locations from the film version of the tale, starting Mount Olympus, where Jason was summoned to by Zeus, to be told that he could call upon Hera several times to aid in his quest for the Golden Fleece. The second is the Isle of Bronze with Talos, a giant bronze statue that attacks the Argonauts after Hercules steals a brooch pin the size of a spear. The third location is the Clashing Rocks, featuring the Sea God Triton, son of Poseidon parting the Clashing Rocks to allow to Argo to pass through. Last is Colchis, where Jason had to face the Hydra, the guardian of the Golden Fleece.
