The Three Visitations of Scrooge: A Christmas Carol
An artistic interpretation of A Christmas Carol portraying the candle-like angel of Christmas Past, the jolly giant of Christmas Present, the grim spirit of Christmas Yet to Come, and a terrified and penitent Scrooge.
The background items consist of a grandfather clock to toll the coming of the first spirit, a table with a feast for both the arrival of the second spirit and the Cratchit's meal on Christmas day, and the future tombstone of Scrooge. The clock pivots into position by way of a gear mechanism and a rubber band from Mars Mission.
There are also two small vignettes in the front that represent Scrooge's heart. The left shows a shriveled and rotten plant surrounded by elements of his greed, and on the right, a fully flourished plant symbolizing his growth and generosity by the end of the story.
There is a video showing the book opening and closing on my Flickr, and there is more detailed information and a few more images on MOCpages if you want to go searching.
Merry Christmas!
