Ideas Take Flight

To me, LEGO Ideas is a place for fans to share their passion projects for niche interests. Whether it's stony castles, green gardens, or a yet-to-be-seen theme-- if your idea resonates with other fans, then it can "take flight" and become a real LEGO set!

In my design, I chose to use the classic lightbulb symbol to capture the "idea" concept and positioned several of them in a landscape so that they look like hot air balloons floating into the distance. The bulbs are made of things that don't really float, like heavy castle stone-- and that's an intentional reference to how you can make the impossible possible in LEGO. The awe of seeing a castle float by captures both the awe of what LEGO and our imaginations allow us to create, and the awe of having your own design turned into a real set by LEGO Ideas.
