It's in Our DNA

This model celebrates the 15th anniversary of Lego Ideas by depicting the elements of life through imagination and human innovation. Which I believe are in the foundation of the Lego Company and the driving force of the Lego Ideas program. Using the iconic and playful primary colour palette that is synonymous with Lego for many people, I wanted to invoke nostalgia with a modern look.

The Red Rocket represents fire and innovation, the Blue Boat represents water and exploration, the Green Tree represents nature and growth, and the Yellow Castle represents spirit and strength.

At the center is a DNA strand with LEGO encoded into it. This not only represents the science and design element of Lego but it's the focal point because it also represents a formative memory of mine. I was introduced to Lego as more than "just a toy" through an elementary school science activity that taught us about DNA using Lego bricks and it opened my mind to a world of imagination and creativity.
