It Starts With a Desk
From the first ever brick to the latest Ideas sets, everything started with an idea and a desk. I believe that this is the essence of LEGO Ideas. My build combines the workshop of the father of LEGO, Ole Kirk Christiansen, as he plays around with an idea for a set. On the opposite side, a LEGO builder sits at home and creates her own set idea.
I built this set to show that even though there are decades between the scenes, everyone still wants to play with LEGO.
Some details I decided to add:
- A little LEGO minifig statue on Ole’s shelf
- The LEGO pieces on Ole’s side are more traditional bricks and on the more modern side are more recent bricks
- The girl has the Great Pyramid of Giza architecture set on her desk
- The girl also has half-finished builds in her drawer like, I think, a lot of us do
And just like the ideas from many others, this too started with a desk.
