The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Grotto Diorama
When thinking of the many classic Disney animated films spanning back over the last 100 years, one of my all time favourite movies is The Little Mermaid from 1989! It has some of my all time favourite Disney songs and I wanted to encapsulate one of them in LEGO form!
The set is based on Ariel's Grotto with a full collection of Disney easter eggs and references! In the center there's a spot for Eric's statue that can be destroyed by Triton! Also Ariel can swim up and down while she sings! The model was built entirely using existing pieces (726 pieces). It takes inspiration from LEGO's diorama products, the quote is from "Part of Your World." There's also a Disney 100 tile featured from other sets.
The characters included are Ariel, King Triton, Sebastian, Flounder and a statue of Prince Eric!
This would make for an excellent display piece and would be a great way to have this iconic moment live on in LEGO form!
