The Forbidden Mountain
Walt Disney's animated classic, Sleeping Beauty, has delighted audiences since 1959. This masterpiece wouldn't be what it is without the forces of evil.
The eerie castle that Maleficent and her minions live in is nestled in the Forbidden Mountain. Sharp cliffs and jagged edges make this place ominous for any visitor. The castle features high towers, dilapidated stonework and high arches. There are several floors, including the dungeon, entranceway, throne room, tower and gatehouse. The portcullis (gate) and drawbridge are designed to move up and down with the dials on the side of the build.
Minifigures include Maleficent (with an alternate sitting base), Diaval (her raven), two hench-creatures, Prince Phillip, Samson (his horse) and micro figures of the three Good Fairies (Flora, Fauna and Merryweather).
This film has been a favorite since I was a little kid and now my children have taken to it as well. We even dressed up as the characters for Halloween last year!
