Alice in Wonderland - Mad Hatters Tea Party
Alice in Wonderland was one of my favourite classic Disney movies growing up due to the vibrancy of its colours and weirdness sparking my curiosity. I have tried to capture that within my design, taking inspiration from Disney art designs from the movie, using different colours for the plants to brightly light up the diorama. I got build inspiration from the LEGO Botanical sets to create unusually large flowers to surround the tea party, lit up by lanterns above their heads (ideally this would bow a bit but Bricklink Stud.io doesn't let me).
The minifigures I chose to include are Alice, Hatter, Hare, Queen of Hearts and Cheshire Cat. The Cheshire Cat I used trans-pink for the legs to create the illusion of him disappearing. The Queen of hearts is busy painting the white roses red, whilst the other three enjoy their tea party. To avoid having too many minifigures I included a small nod to the White Rabbit in front of the table. The build currently sits at 454 pieces.
