Voice controlled and programmed multifunction robot system.
I propose a multifunctional ‘helper bot’ system consisting of various configurations that will perform a variety of tasks with voice input. The bot could have a variety of sensors, i.e. color, distance, compass, gyroscope, camera, touch, ... that the bot would use to interact with the world.
This bot could have a variety of attachments that the user could build, and use various methods of movement (walking, wheels, tracked ...)
The bot would receive instructions either by direct voice commands or the user speaks into a transceiver which would use wireless transmission (such as Bluetooth).
Tasks could contain other tasks, branch to tasks depending on voice commands or sensor input.
For example: “Bot: I name you Gwendolyn “
“Gwendolyn: create task: ‘Make Square’”
“Add loop block, loop 4 times,”
“Add block: go forward 50 centimeters, add block turn right 90 degrees”
“End loop. End create task.”
“Add block: flash light. Add block: say Done,”
“End create task.”
“Gwendolyn create task: ‘Demo Square’”
“Add task: ‘Make Square’. Add task: ‘Done’”
“End create task”
The command: “Gwendolyn do task ‘Demo Square’” will cause the bot to make a square path with 50 centimeter sides, then flash a light and say “Done”.
