Instruction Master

You're building the newest addition to your Lego collection, and you're holding up the model. But you need to turn the page! Your hands may be full, but you can always ask the handy Instruction Master for help!

The build of the Instruction Master is based mainly around a Technic frame that borders the manual. It has motors which turn tires, which flip the pages. Upon a small tower is the Voice Receiver brick, which also has a camera built in to read the page numbers.

The proposed device has several capabilities:
  • It responds to the commands "Next page" and "Previous page" by doing what you requested.
  • It could find a step you ask it for, i.e. "Go to step 37."
  • It holds down the edges of the page if the booklet begins to close on its own.
  • It could also have a light so you can build in the dark!

This may seem like a very simple idea, but in reality, it is extremely useful. While many designs do things that could be activated with a button as easily as your voice, this is is a Lego-based and for-Lego model that relies solely on your voice; your hands are currently busy!

The model shown is merely an example, it would need to be built quite differently to work correctly I'm sure. However, the practicality and possibility of this Voice Experience render it necessary to the Lego community!

Many thanks for taking the opportunity to look at this entry! Please give it a vote and don't forget to leave a comment!
