Polly the Interactive Spider

what a great chance to bring together two of my current on-and-off projects...
Meet Polly, the interactive spider!
Imagine a walking spider which crawls about autonomously, but will communicate by vocie control! The spider navigates on its own, receiving environmental data by means of two IR distance sensors. It will lurk under a table, or walk about the room,, thanks to an algorithm with some random numbers.
Imagine now you're calling your spider: "Polly!" She would answer by whistling, and make a move forward. Maybe you can teach her tricks? And she could also talk to you, like "My batteries need charging!" or "Help me out, I'm trapped!"
The picture shows an impression of an autonomous tracked vehicle I've made, which moves about the room in the way I just described, blended into a current design of mine of a remote-control walking spider.
