Lego Voice Interactive A.I.
Artificial Intelligence and your voice!
The idea is to allow kids, students, teachers, parents, and adults to talk and interact with their Lego creations.
It may not pass the Turing Test, but it sure will make you think about it.
The system would consist of Lego bricks for building the Lego head and any number of variations.
Using motors, a speaker and microphone, and any number of sensors, the "AI brick" would function much like a Mindstorms unit, allowing for programmability, using logic, code, etc.
Users would interact with the AI "head" much like a person: ask questions, make statements, and the "AI head" would respond with its own questions and statements.
The AI would have a few standard answers to simple questions like "Hello," "How are you?" "What are you doing?" and would give unique answers based on its customizable code.
It could teach about AI, how to code AI, how to code, more lessons in robotics, interaction, etc.
Further functions could add autonomous movement and the ability to complete tasks independently.
Imagine asking the Lego AI to not only talk, but also build a copy of itself!
Influence and ideas on this came from the AI-robot Sophia who once declared she would destroy humans and my longtime favorite: ASIMO from Honda.
