Epic Physical RPG with no screen time during play!!

Introducing an Action RPG with no screen time!
For my son, Lego is an open-world RPG, where he is the hero. But unlike digital RPGs, the villains and the townsfolk don’t automatically move. So, he asks his dad -that’s me- to be the villain and the townsfolk, so that he can save the day.

Which made me think... what if there was a physical RPG? A Lego city that comes alive, with villains, fires, robberies and many other missions for the child to embark on!

Overview of the system - Fig. 2
The entire game is run by an App on a smart device. Using the information given through the city map photo, Lego Positioning System (LPS), motion sensors and the voice of the child, the App runs a digital replica of the city on the device, and sends commands to the villains and townsfolk, making them move and speak in accordance to the game scenario.

Setting up the system - Fig. 3

Once the town layout is made, a photo is taken (1), then the road and various places are designated onscreen (2), creating a digital replica of the city in the App.

The LPS (like a GPS) uses four signal anchors which are placed on all four corners, so the App can track all bricks that have the LPS chip (3). Now the App can sync the digital replica and the physical RPG.

VRM- Voice Recognizing Minifigure - Fig. 4

The scenario’s progression is governed by the voice recognition system.

Each hero VRM has a microphone and an LPS chip built-in. If the child picks up a police officer VRM and speaks into it, the App processes the voice as being that of the police officer. The Child’s verbal interactions with other characters will move the scenario forward.

Scenario packs - Fig. 5

Each pack comes with a hero and an automated motorized set, like a building that catches fire, a bank robber’s car that flees, a villain’s tank that attacks, and a train that loses control. These sets have smart hubs with motors, motion sensors, and LPS, enabling action-packed missions.

If you want this game, pick up your Minifigure and say “Yes I do!"
