Holst Op. 32.1

The Holst Op. 32.1 was inspired by the 1st movement (Mars) from Gustav Holst's orchestral suite The Planets.

This orchestral space crew power the ship itself with the power of music. The Spacemen play so powerfully that music streams out of the jet, shown with a huge musical symbols coming out the bottom. I tried to blend the look of a traditional orchestra layout with the streamlined shape of a spacecraft. I also included the classic Lego space logo on the front of the ship.

Instruments played by the musical spacemen include: Violins, Violas, Cellos, Double Basses, Harps, Piccolo, Flutes, Oboes, Cor Anglais, Bass Clarinet, Clarinets, Bassoons, Contra Bassoon, French Horns, Trumpets, Trombones, Tuba, Marimba, Maracas, Bass Drum, Timpani Drums and right at the back, an Organ. (+Conductor at the front) To help distinguish each section, I categorised the space suits into colours: Pinks = Strings, Blues = Woodwinds, Greens = Brass and Red/Yellows being Percussion.
