Slingshot to Mars

The idea for this way of getting us to Mars was staring us in the face the whole time! Instead of creating a gravity slingshot by using the Moon's gravity to fling us to Mars, just simply create a slingshot on the surface of the moon to bring us there. The blast off is complete with the astronaut in the ship, the ship started, and the worker on the moon ready to cut the string, flinging the ship onto Mars with the full power of the slingshot.
