Space Shuttle Grissom
To the moon, and then to Mars! That is the goal of NASA, and the Space Shuttle Grissom is here to turn that accomplish that goal!
Named in honor of Gus Grissom, the SSG features several upgraded boosters to allow for faster spaceflight using less resources, allowing for longer missions. It comes equipped with life support, crew quarters, a crane for grabbing equipment and maintenance, aerodynamic wings to allow for quicker turning in flight, and satellite dishes to allow for stronger communications with Earth.
The design for the SSG was inspired, of course, by the space shuttle, as well as fighter jets. I envisioned what an upgraded space shuttle would look like if it were meant to go longer distances. The aerodynamic wings are intended to let the pilot make easier turns in case of a mistake during navigation.
I hope to one day see man on Mars, as I have always loved the space program and followed its progress.
