Art Deco Mission to Mars
8,000 pieces later…
I don't think my computer is ever going to forgive me for this.
Alright, here's what
we got. Stage one is 8 booster rockets and fuel tanks that fall away after
leaving Earth's atmosphere. Next are 4 boosters that are used to navigate to
Mars. Upon reaching Mars, a parachute deploys and the boosters are used to
decelerate while the parachute keeps the rocket upright. There are 8 tubes and
ladders leading to the permanent research station. On the way to Mars,
artificial gravity is provided on the Research Station and Bridge by the
strongest force known to mankind - Studs and Anti-Studs. The rest of the rocket
doesn't have artificial gravity because what's the point of going to space if
you don't get to experince zero-g? Once the mission is complete, Stage 3 takes
off from Mars and returns to Earth. Upon entering Earth's orbit Stage 4
detaches and reenters Earth's atmosphere, releasing a parachute to control
descent.
I hope you like it!
