Project Minotaur
Pull away the ladder, unhook the launch grips and lift off from the platform!
Project Minotaur uses the hexagonal launch stage to leave the lunar surface and orbit before detaching. Then the Service Module takes over, using it's 7 smaller thrusters to keep the 2 astronauts on track.
The robotic arm on the Service Module can be used to support the astronauts on EVAs, for protecting the ship from debris or anything else that may be required on the long journey to Mars. Power is supplied by the nuclear generator in the Service Module, and the two astronauts live and work in the Habitation Module on top of the vehicle. The Service Module and Habitation Module then land on the surface of Mars, cushioning the landing with the 3 thrusters between the white landing legs
The rocket features:
- Foldable solar panels
- Removable cockpit
- Detailed airlock door
- Power Functions motor rotating a satellite dish
