The Flying Toaster
For millennia, humans have looked up at the stars and wondered about life on other planets. Perhaps the question to consider is not whether there are aliens out there, but how do we insure a harmonious existence with them. Introducing “The Flying Toaster”, the spacecraft that will put our best foot forward when we finally reach the red planet in person. I can think of nothing more soothing and inviting, nor an experience so quintessentially human than a good hearty breakfast. This giant spacecraft is modeled in the 1950’s style, meant to bring back the nostalgia of classic martian films. Not only will alien onlookers identify the harmless and friendly icon that is a fresh slice of toast, but powerful odor emitters will make sure the martians smell the toast as well. When the ship is safely docked, it is fully supplied with the ingredients needed to whip-up a relative thanksgiving for our new friends. Peace Among Worlds!
