Behold, Our Quest!

"A river that runs out to the coast, sword-holders guarding its mouth
Across the timber bridge, a gray hawk sat perched atop the ruins we seek
A chicken, oozing with magic, guards the stairs
And in the dark, under the ruin's terrace, a treasure was found
A chest, stone like the Lord whose name I can never remember has and..
An empty fishbowl?
And a cauldron with a bit of everything in it and a slithering chest, surely the home of an evil witch
Ready we must be, to face challenges never seen
Glory to us, and,
Hoards most beautiful to its beholder."

Much like how the D&D books bring life to the game, pulling the grey liftarm with the floating book breathes life into the diorama. Heads turn, characters move and the warrior in the gelatinous cube rolls a strength check.

The model holds lots of details and references to the game for new and old fans to discover and love. For those who wants, the characters are all easily replaceable/customizable to better mimic the builder's own party.
