Lightbrick Effects Postcard

The light effect in the photo is real and an important part of this design. The light effects are created using Lego elements as the light source. To achieve this effect, I've made creative use of two lightbricks: They spin and their light is reflected in exactly the right direction by the very carefully positioned parts.

A cool detail is the spaceship rocket engine. Light from the spinning light bricks is guided by reflecting tiles. These are hidden behind the spaceship. This is what makes the rocket engine light up.

The animated photo shows how the build is transformed to this cool scene, when the light effect goes on as the central part of the design is spun. Nice technical detail: The light bricks are activated by centrifugal force, so they only use energy when spun and automatically shut down.

The postcard shows a spaceship racing through space towards a ring shaped phenomenon. It may be a wormhole or a portal of some kind that transports it to new galaxies to explore.
