The End of the Dinosaurs
66 million years ago a 6-mile-wide asteroid smashed into earth at Chicxulub and shaked up earths life... It meant a fresh start for our planet Earth.
I built this postcard for two reasons;
- I like astronomy and certainly meteors, asteroids and big events like collisions
- I grew up with the hype/movies of Jurassic Park that fueled my interest in dinosaurs
The postcard shows the approach of small asteroids with their tail on fire and espescially the 'incoming big one' which lead to the mass-extinction of the dinosaurs.
The sky is bright yellow from all the fire of the previous impacts. Two dinosaurs are watching helplessly from a hill, not knowing what's about to happen.
