Surfing the Solar Swell
As the Sun's magnetic field shifts and warps, it causes a phenomenon known as Solar flares. These huge bursts of energy from beautifully intricate loops and waves, dancing across the surface of the sun. However, all the information we have about the Sun's activity is gathered from a distance. No satellite has, of yet, entered the Sun's atmosphere, which is still about 6.9 million kilometres away from its surface. This build inspires fascination in the future of exploration of our Sun, depicting an example of a satellite which would be similar to the ones that may one day dare to surf the Solar swell.
