Scene: Classic Dawn

Location: Moon Station CLA551-C,

Dear Ann,

Today at dawn, local time, I arrived at the outpost, and the transport ship has already departed back to Earth. I'll be lonely here for the next 90 days, but I hope to have the ore mining robots up and running by the end of my tour. The dawn here is particularly beautiful, with the horizon shimmering in shades of red due to the atmosphere. Looking up into the darkness of space, the stars shine bright, and our host planet sits crowned by its glittering rings. All this can't make up for your absence. I'm sending a picture from the security camera—a glimpse into this magical world. Think of it as a postcard. Unfortunately, the floodlights are not on yet, so the base with me and Mall-E the droid is shrouded in darkness.

Forever Yours,
Tom
