Dawn of a Black Hole

Perhaps in the future, some will not watch a sunrise, but rather watch a black hole appear over the horizon. This postcard depicts a planet with a biodome and a radio antenna, with a black hole rising to signify a new day. The black hole's accretion disk creates an effect similar to a sunrise upon the near-empty planet. Stars can be seen across the morning sky as a moon orbits the mysterious planet that humans have set up camp upon.

The idea of interplanetary travel has always excited me, and my submission is inspired by the future potential to be near a black hole without falling in.
