Mars Super Highway

Hello from Mars - everybody pose for the postcard! The Martian city towers on the skyline in the nectarine Martian sky. Bright stars twinkle and the moon isn't far away. Minnie Figger, chief architect of the Mars Super Highway, runs an exciting new road-building collaboration between Earth and Mars that will allow all to travel safely around the planet without running into Martian rocks and craters. Domed lunchbox on the ground keeping their food cool and an all-important first aid kit is well in reach. Wilf is holding a Marsometer, an instrument that measures atmospheric pressure on Mars – invented by Minnie herself. Two kids have come out of the city to watch the works. They’ve brought their space cat– look out– he’s going to hop into Minnie's cool space pod! Don’t let him get the controls or go on the retracting roof! While they’re catching kitty, marvel at the sandy soil of tholeiitic basalt, the auroras - ultra-violet glows found on the southern hemisphere of this planet.
