1950s Italian Sports Car
While in America bigger is better, across the Atlantic, all good things comes in small packages. In the late 1940s and early 1950s, countless car builders, mainly from Italy, took the engines from normal cars and tuned the engine. Barchetta (Italian for little boat), is a type of car with no roof, designed for lightweight and performance. The car's engine was married with beautifully crafted bodies made by the local coachbuilders. These cars were nicknamed 'etceterini' because most of their names ended with -ini. With their powerful engines and lightweight body, they conquered racetracks all over the world! But their weight-saving purpose makes them very sparsely equipped. Most of the have no roof, windscreens, and even doors!
This Lego creation is certainly much smaller than the other cars I've made. It features a roll bar at the back. Thanks for stopping by, I hope you like it!
