1950s Bubble Car
Europe in the 1950s is much different than the Americas. Even though the demand for automobiles have risen, Europe were still battered by the war. Big, luxurious, gas-guzzling cars found no buyers. So, auto manufacturers, even former aircraft manufacturers, began to build small "bubble" cars to satisfy the demand for cars. These cars looked funny because of the small size and the economic design. Some of them even comes with forward or upward opening doors! Their engines are derived from motorcycles and have very little power. Sadly, by the late 1950s, small cars begin to stole their sales, and the bubble cars become extinct.
My Lego creation is based on the bubble cars of the 1950s. It featured an opening canopy door, two-tone paint, three-wheels and a spare wheel. Thanks for stopping by, I hope you like it!
