1960's Supercar
All names and companies are imaginary. Danish furniture magnate Jens Rasmussen's attempt to rival the most famous Italian sports car makers is the stuff of legend. The 1965 Rasmussen Stjerne combined Italian styling from the renowned coach builder Mattone, with American sourced V8 power. After a production run of only 543 cars, Rasmussen took the difficult decision to return his focus to bespoke home furnishings and the Stjerne was consigned to history. My build combines sturdy, yet stylish shaping together with interesting features and parts usage. I have used rings, teeth, ice-skates (or radar dishes) and lipsticks, as well as the more familiar mudguard as grill surround trick. Despite its low stance, the model has a detailed interior and can seat a mini figure.
