'The Greebler' Hot-Rod
Introducing The Greebler - a vintage racing car, restored by a dedicated citizen of LEGO city.
The whole model is built leaning forwards slightly, an aggressive and ready-to-race stance. The bumper is the location of the air intake vent and some elevated headlights. The rear of the car has an open-top compartment which a minifigure can fit snugly into. It also has a small steering wheel and a control panel near the driver's feet, and some rear view mirrors (not that this driver uses them). Along the edge of the car are two twin exhaust pipes which spit small flames as the car drives. The highlight of this model, however, is the engine. Attached to hinged plates are tooth plates, lever bases, and minifig tools that from the eight-cylinder engine that dominates the build. On top of that is a shovel piece that tops the engine off and greatly improves its aerodynamics.
And, of course, the car has some alternate colour schemes for those of you not so interested in slick red-and-black.
