Zebra Finch

This is a zebra finch based on the bird I had as a child. Her name was Pinch. That might not sound like a creative name, and it wasn't. I was 6. Pinch lived a very long life as a bird, staying with me through three different houses until the end of high school. Now she's immortalized as a Lego pet.

This finch is perched on stand outside of the cage. This is not a common sight, as most finches are pretty difficult to keep calm. You have to be especially patient and dedicated if you want a finch to stay calm around people, and even more so if you want to be able to hold it. Once a finch is out of the cage, it can be pretty hard to get back into the cage. Finches are small and fly quickly. This finch will stay put, though. It is just Lego, after all.
