The LEGO Hamster Express

This challenge immediately reminded me of my youth. My older brother and I liked to build mazes out of LEGO and then let our hamster Ulla loose in them.

One of our mazes had a dead end corridor and when Ulla ended up in it, she fell through a trapdoor (we knew this technique from the pirate set 6270 Forbidden Island), straight into the LEGO train who ran under the maze (we had the well-known 4558 System Metroliner set).

No worries, we only ran the train at the slowest pace and dropped Ulla off safely at the platform of our train set. This design is a tribute to our hamster and to the creativity of our youth, hopefully you like it.
