Flora and Fauna: Vintage Spanish Moon Moth Frame
This build features a frame in the style of old biology textbooks. With Spanish moon moths in all their forms. From the caterpillar, to the cocoon to the adults of this species. With spare parts to build either female or male moth of the species. Also present, is their main food source the black pine.
The Spanish moon moth or Graellsia Isabellae is a species of silkmoth native to specific mountains of Spain, but can also be found in certain mountains of France and Switzerland. It is a very special moth in that it has been locally isolated to these mountains after the last ice age ended and the only remnants of suitable habitat became these very mountains.
Easily my favorite member of the lepidopteran family. I think others would also enjoy gazing at these elusive little beauties at home.
