Welcome to a mashup of retro sci-fi and Western themes! An alien couple visits the Wild West and gets the chance to ride a classic railroad pump car. They might not be used to human-powered vehicles, but at least they get a nice view of the iconic desert and cacti.
About the Model:
My model is a kinetic sculpture—meaning it moves when you turn the crank at the rear. (Note: The prototype model with the main function was built and tested in real life to ensure it performs well.) Photos and GIFs can demonstrate the function and mechanism of the model. When you turn the crank, the wheels spin, the pump moves, and the alien figures tilt, giving the effect of "working.". The wheels are also spin in place. The entire pump car can be easily detached from the display and still function by rolling it on the ground.
