Flora and Fauna: California Icons
A pair of icons of the Golden State: a quail and poppies. The California Quail (Callipepla Californica) is the state bird, and the California Poppy (Eschscholzia Californica) is the state flower. This build features a male quail perched atop a fallen branch and a group of three poppies -- two buds and one in full bloom. In this build particular attention was made to the gradients in the quail's plumage and the texture of the flower petals.
