Lego Kingdoms Prison Tower Rescue (7947)

The Lego Castle subtheme, Lego Kingdoms is my favourite Lego theme. I've always been slightly disappointed that there hasn't been a Castle subtheme since 2013. For this contest, I wanted to scale down one of my favorite Kingdoms sets, the Prison Tower Rescue. Although it isn't as big as the King's Castle from that year, the original set looks much more finished and completed once you've built it, which is one of many reasons I chose to build it. In my microscale version, I tried to include the most important details from the set, including the fire in the back, staircase up the side, mini tree, and even the castle gate, which actually opens in my microscale copy. It is controlled by a small wheel in the lower tower, which winds up a string connected to the gate. The model was built and rendered using BrickLink Studio 2.0.
