Kings Castole (6080)

After building a building a micro Blacktron base, I knew I had to try my hand and the King's Castle too, since these were the two big sets I had as a kid. It was fun trying to capture as many of the original play elements in a minifigure play-fort scale, while trying to keep the design and theming constant throughout, and definitely is a lesson in building small doesn't always mean building simple. I particularly like that the portcullis can be operated by a tiny pull chain, and can just imagine a little lion knight and space figure having a vicious rock-paper-scissors duel atop the back parapets.
