Black Knight’s Castle

Huzza! My very first publicly posted creation!

I have very fond memories of this castle, as it was the first castle set I ever played with. It was my older brothers’, but they never did much with it, so when I came along, it was still intact and sitting up on a shelf.

The working drawbridge, portcullis, and opening door to reveal an actual glow-in- the-dark ghost instantly captured my young attention.

Now, I am an AFOL, and I just recently rebuilt the original Black Knight’s Castle, using the tattered remains of the yellow instructions. It re-awakened my love of this set, and I could think of no better one to do for this contest!

The dungeon opens to reveal that red-caped Wolfpack thief. The drawbridge opens in the same way as the original, and so does the portcullis(you know, how it’s that string attached to the wall, so you just press down the string and it raises?:)

The ghost is in the tower behind the door, and everyone’s favorite yellow house is on the wall.
