Grandpa Blacksmith

A long time ago, in a distant land, there lived a blacksmith. His workshop was inside the Lion Knights castle walls and it had a characteristic red kiln. Twenty years later, his son opened a new workshop along the river, where a mill wheel operated the hammer on the anvil. Nowadays his grandson continues the family tradition. He's a red-haired man and he has a lovely cottage with blue roof, where he lives with his daughter, a master archer...

To celebrate the history of Lego Castle, I decided to pay homage to the subtheme of the Medieval Blacksmith. I chose to start where it all began: the set 6040 Blacksmith Shop. With its lovely design and by only 83 parts, this little masterpiece has really "forged" all the generations of Lego blacksmiths up to the present day.

My shrunk digital version features a collection of vintage and new parts, with no color restrictions.

Long life to Lego Castle and to the great family of soldiers, peasants and nobles who live in its world!
