6091/6098 King Leo's Castle Micro Scale
Although I was never able to afford this large set, I used bricks from the smaller sets of the theme as well as the baseplate from another set to build it as a kid.
In this recreation I tried to stay as faithful to the original as possible, copying the original layout and details(chest on front tower), while changing the catapult tower to a more pacifist blacksmith that took over after a recent attack destroyed the old tower.
I kept the original banner-wall design as the centre piece of this set.
Countless entrances, stairs and ladders allow full access to every room and part of the castle. The hill panels have openings to look inside.
From kitchen to king's bedchamber; stable to astronomy tower, complete with a telescope and crystal ball, this castle is stacked with details only the builder will know about once it is completed.
And it all rests on a classic red 2x2 brick.
1796pc 900g
16x24 studs (without caravel); which makes it exactly a quarter of the original 32x48 studs
