The Winchcombe Meteorite
For this challenge, I built the Winchcombe meteorite, which is a carbonaceous chondrite meteorite, that landed in Gloucestershire, England in the village of Winchcombe at 21:54 hours on February 28, 2021. This meteorite is said to be 4.6 billion years old, and is believed to have originated from the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. When entering Earth’s atmosphere, the meteorite was observed as a fluorescent green fireball. My build does not have any fluorescent green fiery ness. I have been super by intrigued by the research that has been conducted. The real meteorite calls the Natural History Museum of London home!
I wasn’t really sure what a natural history museum contained as far as exhibits, but I believe the Winchcombe meteorite would be a very cool addition to a Lego museum. I built a more life sized version of the meteorite, as well as a smaller version, both of which I had to include. The smaller version is on a little rotating pillar stand.
