Culture and Innovations of the Republic of Venice (La Serenissima)
Here is the exhibit room on the Culture and Innovations of the Republic of Venice!!
From Right to Left:
- Model of the city Palmanova in Udine, now a UNESCO site, is an example of Venetian fortifications
- Ship model is a Galleass, famous for its use at the battle of Lepanto
- Three glass cases contain figures from the aristocracy
- Left one is the Doge of Venice, used a smurf hat to represent the Corno Ducale
- Right exihbit includes a sextant, map and telescope to pay homage to the seafarers and traders
- Left exhibit includes a violin, baton and sheet music to pay homage to the composers and many violin craftsmen
- Inside the arches is some Venetian 16/17th century military gear
- On top is part of a balcony commonly found in Venetian architecture
Lots of knowledge and research went into this, hope you enjoy it
