The Fossils and Minerals Exhibit
What's this? A room full of rocks?
Yes, but it's so much more!
Did you know that the study of moon rocks and meteorites can tell us all about outer space, but also our own planet Earth? Or that not just animals, but also plants can form into fossils which tell us all about the way the world might have looked millions of years ago? And did you know that a beautiful agate stone in your mineral collection might turn out to be the fossil of a dinosaur egg?
This exhibit holds an all-star lineup of beautiful gem-like minerals, moon rocks and meteorites, fossilized plants and petrified wood, fossilized bones, fossilized dinosaur eggs and a recreation of what a dinosaur nest might have looked like.
