Caveman's Fire

Welcome to the prehistory section of the natural history museum! Here you can admire our ancestor Homo sapiens in his natural habitat, a cave covered with rock paintings. Also discover the tools of homo sapiens on display: a hunting spear and a bone hammer.

Prehistoric men discoverd fire 1.7 to 2.0 million years ago by Homo Erectus. It was used to ward off wild beasts, but also for cooking.
