Ocicat Patronus
When the challenge came up, I didn’t know which one to choose out of the 100, I did some research and ended up creating a profile on WizardingWorld; then passed the test to discover my own Patronus… Ocicat.
Apparently, it belongs to people who are playful and protective of loved ones but can also be rebellious and stubborn. I have to admit is it not an untrue portrait :)
So, Ocicat it was.
If it was to be an Ocicat Patronus, it had to be a proper one. That could move, pose and jump like one. To achieve such goal, the model has 21 articulations, using various techniques (turntables, hinges, clips and bars, tow balls connections). Each body part can move to replicate live motion and each paw include retractable claws.
Beyond the movement, the most challenging part of the built was the face, featuring nose, whiskers (made out of antennas) and ‘deep’ eyes (graphically designed prints on 2x2 round tiles).
Hope you will enjoy imaging this 1219 pieces model coming to life.
Expecto Patronum!
