Pouring Everything Into Love

I’ve always been fascinated by gravity defying art, and this “Build From The Heart” challenge seemed like the perfect opportunity to showcase the concept. The two different sized paint cans are symbolic of the fact that while everyone has different capacities for love, what matters most is that you're putting everything you can into your relationship. Plus, the wonderful thing about love is that the process starts inside each person individually (red or yellow) but then combines to form something spectacular and new (orange). The base of the sculpture also contains a small vignette with two minifigures as a hidden surprise.

The mid-air pouring affect is achieved through a combination of traditional bricks and Technic pieces. The "paint" is rigidly held to the base and requires no transparent parts for support. This helps ensure the paint appears to be floating no matter the viewing angle. The model shown in the photos is not a digital render, it was built using available LEGO pieces.
